Formerly "Ministries of Destiny Belize"

              God orchestrates times, places, people’s lives, and things in a way no man could ever do since He and He alone knows the future. He sets in motion things that man cannot stop and stops things that man cannot continue. He uses individuals when they don’t even know they are being used to accomplish His will in building up the Kingdom. He brings people together at His appointed times and places that will change their lives forever.

        To update I’ve got to go back to 2011. In 2011 I was contacted by the Pastor of a new church in Alabama in regards to the work we were doing at that time in Belize. Remember we were working to help another church get established there. The Youth Pastor was the friend of a Pastor my wife and I had met at a Camp Meeting in Panama City, FL in June of 2011. We had told him about the Mission work we were doing in Belize and he had relayed it to the Youth Pastor who in turn told his Pastor, Bro. Tony Meeker. I received a call from Bro. Tony and he asked if we’d come and meet with his board and then give a presentation about the work in Belize to the church, which we accepted. Their church was only one (1) year old and they were looking for a mission work to support. We had no way of knowing where that contact would evidently lead. After meeting with the board and making the presentation we were presented with a check for $5,000.00 which was used to purchase a 32 passenger bus from a local church in Jackson, TN. By the way the name of the church in Alabama was “The Bridge”. Remember that name as it will appear again.

        As I stated earlier little did I know at the time that the work we were doing to help the other church get established in Belize was coming to an end. And since we were still affiliated with them the bus was actually titled to them. In 2016 they gave the bus to Destiny. The floor had rotted out and was dangerous to walk on and the cost to fix it was not worth it to us at the time as we were putting everything we could into the construction of the church and did not need that extra expense at that time. Since we didn’t want to spend the money to repair it we decided to sell the bus in 2018 knowing that when the time and need arose God would provide the bus we needed.

        A number of years have passed since we first met Bro. Tony, in fact it’s been a little over 8 years now and over the years we have stayed in contact with him and continue a ministry relationship with him today.

        So we sold the bus and here we are in 2019 and the work on the church is almost completed and we now need a bus to transport teams and youth around so we began looking for a school bus we could purchase. The Lord was in the whole thing and on September 17, 2019 we were able to purchase a 44 seat 2001 International from our local school system. The purchase of the bus is a miracle of its own which I’ll share later in another update. Bro. Tony felt the Lord was directing him to personally supply the funds to purchase the bus for the Destiny. Mechanically it is in perfect shape but needed a set of new tires.

        So in the beginning, in 2011, the church that supported us financially was “The Bridge” located in Alabama and now “The Bridge” located in Mississippi is helping support the work in Belize. That’s not all, the Transition House, located at “The Bridge Center”, for the Youth graduating from the W.I.N.G.S. Program is called “The Bridge House” which will help the Youth cross from dependency in the Foster Care Program to Independence. Finally on November 1st I received a letter, CLICK HERE to read letter, from Elizabeth and Anthony Zabaneh, parents of Emilio Zabaneh, our partner in Belize that they have initiated the donation of 3 lots, which is equal to 3 acres, right in the middle of a 10 acre tract we need so we can begin building the facility which will be called “The Bridge Life Training Center”, copy of that letter attached. And to top it all off “The Bridge Life Training Center” which will function as a Bridge to Independence for the Youth is actually located in Independence, Belize. And I failed to mention that the name of the Facility/Church we’ve been working on will be called “The Bridge Worship Center”. It’s all about building the Kingdom and God is orchestrating it all. Think about it…there is absolutely no way that man could bring all of this together as our Heavenly Father has done. I get excited just thinking about being just a small part in His Master Plan and what He is doing…..

This is not the FINAL CHAPTER we're beginning a whole "NEW CHAPTER" of the ministry including.

                  a name change.  The next "CHAPTER" will be called "BRIDGE TO DESTINY BELIZE".
